Building event series: Mobilising home-owners for deep renovations
This event was part of Climate Alliance's summer 2021 building event series
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Energy efficient buildings are an important pillar in order to allow for a just transformation process and for reaching the goals of the European Green Deal. However, the current building stock in Europe has large gaps in respect to its energy efficiency. Deep renovations and a high energy efficiency standard are therefore playing a crucial role. But what can municipalities do to activate home-owners for deep renovations?
This question was the main focus of this workshop. Different approaches were presented – from one-stop-shops to the role of local multipliers to communication campaign about energy advisory. After short presentations, participants had the chance to exchange and discuss their questions and needs with speakers and other local representatives.
Climate Alliance was organising the event as part of the event series on buildings over the summer. In order to give municipalities the opportunity to learn more about relevant and buildings related topics, the network was offering workshops on a wide range of topics – from storage solutions and deep retrofits to energy poverty.
