Grupo Sal | Pluriversum
A glimpse of indigenous realities through art
Since 2010, Climate Alliance has supported Grupo Sal’s Concert for Amazonia medleys, which combine passionate music, images, personal testimonies and reflections surrounding the topic of what we can learn from indigenous peoples. Since its beginnings, over 60 concert readings have been held in Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, mostly in Climate Alliance member municipalities. The concert readings and medleys are a novel way to address climate protection, rainforest protection and alternative models of living while directly involving local actors.
With the Pluriversum project, Climate Alliance is supporting a series of moderated discussions with prominent international activists, intellectuals, scientists and politicians from 2024 to 2025 on topics such as climate change, sustainability, the rights of indigenous peoples and nature. The evenings will be accompanied by music from the Grupo Sal sextet and projection artist Johannes Keitel. The aim is to share and discuss transformative concepts and modern emancipatory perspectives with the German public.
Project funding period: August 2024 – July 2025
via German Postcode Lottery
