Climate Alliance General Assembly 2026

29 September 2026, 10:00 – 12:30, online

Shape the network. Connect with peers. Have your say.

The General Assembly is your opportunity to find out more about our offers for members and our activities, to get to know other member cities and towns, and to play an active role in shaping your Climate Alliance network. The General Assembly will take place as part of this year’s Climate Alliance Annual Conference, CAIC26, on 29 and 30 September 2026 in Brussels (BE). True to the motto Local climate action delivers: Stronger together for Europe, we will make it clear in dialogue with EU officials that local authorities are ready for comprehensive and effective climate action – now we need the right political framework!

Voting information at a glance

How does voting take place?
This year, all ordinary members will be able to vote online, using a computer or smartphone. Members will receive the voting access by email directly from Votebox shortly before the General Assembly.

Who is eligible to vote?
Every ordinary Climate Alliance member has one vote, which is typically placed by the Climate Alliance membership coordinator. Member municipalities may decide internally who exercises the right to vote – no official voting right transfer is needed.

What if I cannot attend?
Our statutes allow for the transfer voting rights to other Climate Alliance members as necessary. You can find the appropriate voting rights transfer form here as a Word or pdf file.

How do I transfer my voting rights?
Simply submit the above form to membership@climatealliance.org by 17 Semptember 2026 to secure your municipality’s voting rights transfer. Please ensure that the person receiving your municipality’s vote also registers for the General Assembly.
