From local energy saving campaigns to transferable impact

Pre-CAIC Session 2026
European municipalities face unprecedented pressure to deliver measurable energy savings while maintaining citizen trust and engagement. The SaveEnergyTogether partners tested large-scale campaigns across five countries – reaching over 6.6 million households – and proven that simple, low-cost behavioural interventions can generate 100 GWh/year in primary energy savings.
Join this practical online workshop to discover concrete ways municipalities can improve energy-saving communication, engage citizens and adapt successful campaign ideas to local needs. This session is designed for local governments, energy agencies, NGOs and citizen initiatives that want useful examples, peer exchange and ready-to-use tools they can apply in their own work.
This workshop transforms those results into actionable blueprints you can use in your own context. Whether you’re a municipal officer designing heat action plans, an energy agency coordinating regional campaigns, or an NGO, working with citizen groups, you’ll leave with concrete tools, tested procedures, and peer insights ready for immediate uptake. The event is a peer-learning workshop with short inputs, showcases, and Collegial Counselling as a structured breakout discussion. This session is designed for practitioners who need transferable solutions.
Participants can expect practical guidance on how to turn local campaigns into ideas that can be adapted elsewhere, along with a simple introduction to the blueprints and cost-benefit tool. Join this webinar and you will leave with fresh ideas, useful contacts, and practical input for your own energy-saving and citizen engagement activities – courtesy of the experiences from the SaveEnergyTogether!
