Sustainable Cities Summit 2026
From climate ambition to urban action
The Lisbon Council for Economic Competitiveness and Social Renewal will host the 2026 Sustainable Cities Summit, bringing together policymakers, urban innovators and investors to discuss how European cities can deliver climate action while strengthening economic resilience. The summit will explore how to mobilise private investment, engage citizens and accelerate urban transformation in today’s shifting political and economic landscape.
As part of the Summit, the Climate Alliance project URBREATH will convene a High-Level Roundtable on ‘Scaling Sustainability in a Tougher Climate: What Europe’s Cities Have Learned and What Comes Next.’ This invitation-only session will bring together senior city leaders to exchange practical experiences on delivering urban climate action, with a focus on the governance, investment and coordination choices that enable real progress.
While the morning roundtable is invitation only, the Summit’s lunch and afternoon sessions will be open to the public. Those interested in learning more about the summit may contact Anna Pizzamiglio, community lead and policy analyst, the Lisbon Council, at anna.pizzamiglio@lisboncouncil.net.
