Peer-Reviews: European Urban Initiative launches new call

The new call for applications for peer reviews under the European Urban Initiative (EUI) is now open. Cities from across Europe can apply to be a city under review or a peer reviewer by 22 April 2026.

The peer reviews bring together a city facing a specific challenge in its sustainable urban development strategy with other European cities. The aim is to facilitate a practical exchange that leads to concrete recommendations and next steps. Participation is fully funded by the EUI. Municipal authorities that receive ERDF funding under Article 11 for their integrated sustainable urban development may apply. Peer reviewers may come from any EU city and ideally have many years’ experience in urban development.
