Alliances and partnerships along the renovation value chain

28 & 30 January 2026, Online

EU Peers Living Lab

This EU Peers Living Labs will highlight how to align the many actors in home renovation so homeowners experience a smooth, high-quality journey from first contact to completed works. This Living Lab consists of two meetings, each session combines a short input with an interactive workshop where you apply the concepts to your own context and exchange with peers facing similar challenges. We’ll keep the lens on the homeowner journey while making roles, responsibilities, and handovers clear across the value chain.

Understanding the renovation value chain | 28 January, 10:00-11:30
Get a clear, shared map of the European renovation ecosystem: who the stakeholders are, how they interact, their leverage and business models, and how they influence each other. We’ll translate this into the homeowner journey to spot friction points and opportunities in your own setting. Interactive segment: sketch your local value chain and identify priority handovers to fix.

Collaboration between stakeholders | 30 January, 10:00-11:30
Explore practical ways to formalise collaboration: contracting approaches, procurementoptions, service-level agreements, and simple coordination tools. We’ll walkthrough two real case studies and extract what’s transferable. Furthermore, through a workshop you will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to your own case.

This Living Lab is being organised by the Green Building Council Espana (GBCE) in the framework of our EU Peers Initiative. With EU Peers, we are creating a European Community of Practice to increase the residential energy renovation rate.
