The focus of the meeting will be citizen and stakeholder engagement and how these can contribute to gaining acceptance for climate adaptation measures. We will be joined by Dr. Benjamin Hofbauer, from the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) who will give a theoretical input on challenges for the acceptance of adaptation measures, including some insights from the EU-Project DIRECTED. In addition, Dirk Schneider from the Parks Department will present a case study from the City of Frankfurt (DE) for citizen engagement and green infrastructure.
