Nature-based solutions in the Alpine Region

This session provides an introduction to international strategies for Nature-based Solutions in the Alpine region and explores their role in natural hazard management, the role of biodiversity in value chains and the connection to NbS, and climate adaptation. Through practical examples from Tyrol, participants will discover how NbS and biodiversity measures are being implemented on different government levels and in practice, including initiatives such as Climate-Smart Mountain Forest Tirol and Nature in urban space.

As part of the Horizon project Invest4Nature, the event aims to make the relevance of Nature-based Solutions and their connection to biodiversity accessible and understandable, while inspiring how municipalities, businesses, organisations and individuals can contribute to their implementation.
