How can behavioural science turn energy efficiency from intention into everyday action?

Join this SaveEnergyTogether session to explore practical, low-cost behavioural interventions that help make energy savings stick. From understanding psychological barriers to applying real-world solutions, this session is designed for municipalities and multipliers working on the front line of the energy transition.

Agenda:

  • Behavioural Insights in Energy Policy – Kerstin Schilcher, Senior Expert for Consumer Behaviour, Austrian Energy Agency
Framing behavioural approaches to energy efficiency, drawing on current EU-level discussions and insights from the Energy Behaviour Forum, with relevance for municipalities and multipliers.
  • Behavioural Barriers & Insights – Dr. Lory Barile, Associate Professor, University of Warwick, UK
Scientific and psychological aspects of behaviour change, including key barriers and how they can be addressed in practice. Dr. Barile research focuses on how people-centred approaches and participatory methods can shape policymaking, applying behavioural insights to address critical societal challenges such as climate action and sustainability.
  • Practical Interventions & Case Studies – Dr. Sea Rotmann, Behaviour Change Consultant, New Zealand
Real-world examples and lessons learned from community-based initiatives. Dr Rotmann has a PhD in marine ecology and environmental studies, but has focused on sustainability implementation in policy, practice, and research, since 2005

This webinar is part of the capacity-building series of the SaveEnergyTogether project co-funded by the LIFE programme of the European Union.
