A clean, secure and competitive Energy Union

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is Europe’s largest annual event promoting renewables and efficient energy use. The conference will bring together policymakers, innovators and energy stakeholders to discuss innovations and the future of clean energy in Europe.

EUSEW 2026 includes the EUSEW Awards and networking opportunities at the Energy Fair as well as a high-level policy conference with plenary and policy sessions – two of which organised in part by Climate Alliance:

  • 11:30 to 13:00 | From Policy to Practice: Inclusive Urban Energy Communities
This sessions explores how energy communities can include vulnerable households, reduce energy poverty and empower cities to deliver a fair, affordable and participatory energy transition. Organised with the support of Climate Alliance in the framework of the EU Covenant of Mayors and the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH)
  • 14:00 bis 15:30 | Empowering and protecting vulnerable households on the path to decarbonisation: from gas grids to renewable heat
This session dives into how best to support vulnerable consumers in the shift to clean, affordable heating while tackling inequalities. Organised by the Directorate General for Energy (European Commission), the Heinrich Boell Stiftung, BEUC and Climate Alliance in the framework of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH)
