We are looking for a Controller or Finance Manager (m/f/d) to join our Finance and Controlling team in Frankfurt am Main (DE) as soon as possible.
For over 35 years, Climate Alliance member municipalities have been acting in partnership with indigenous rainforest peoples for the benefit of the global climate. With some 2,000 members spread across more than 25 countries, Climate Alliance is Europe’s largest city network dedicated to comprehensive and equitable climate action. Recognising the impact our lifestyles can have on the world’s most vulnerable people and places, Climate Alliance pairs local action with global responsibility.
What to expect:
- Advising and supporting management (registered association and limited liability company) on business management issues
- Preparing the accountability report for the executive board/general assembly
- Financial management of third-party funded projects and support in budget preparation as part of project acquisition
- Independent monitoring and preparation of annual financial statements
- Contact person for auditing
- Liquidity planning and control
- Further development and maintenance of existing controlling instruments
- Preparation of budget planning, various reports, implementation of target/actual comparisons
What we’re looking for:
- Completed commercial training with additional qualification in controlling or a degree in business administration, each with relevant professional experience
- Business fluent written and spoken German and English, French skills are an advantage
- Good PC skills (MS Office, especially Excel), knowledge of DATEV desirable
- Analytical thinking and a high affinity for numbers
- Organisational skills and structured approach
