Climate Alliance mourns the loss of long-time friend and colleague Karl-Ludwig Schibel
Karl-Ludwig Schibel, a valued friend and companion of Climate Alliance, passed away at the beginning of April. He was a long-standing board member of Climate Alliance Europe, National Coordinator of Climate Alliance Italy and closely associated with Climate Alliance from the very beginning.
Karl-Ludwig Schibel lived in Italy for over 40 years and was a pioneer in matters of ecology and the transformation of the economy and society. He founded a rural community based on basic ecological principles and published numerous articles and books on the topics of sustainability, ecological transformation and international climate policy. He shaped helped shaped Climate Alliance for over 30 years and provided sustainable impetus.
With the death of Karl-Ludwig Schibel, our network has lost a committed ally, motivator and close friend. We owe a great deal to his thoughts and actions. Karl-Ludwig Schibel will be sorely missed.
