Climate change: Making the Paris agreement work
Six months ahead of the UNFCCC COP24 in Katowice, Climate Alliance's official partner, the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), is holding a policy briefing on the state of play of the climate negotiations and the progress made on the modalities and guidelines for the implementation of the Paris Agreement. The so-called “Paris rulebook” is to be finalised and adopted in Katowice. Discussions will also include the role of regions and cities as key non-state actors in the framework of the UNFCCC governance.
This event is designed for climate experts and specialised press. It will be held two weeks ahead of the high-level political debate on climate governance that the CoR will host during its plenary session 4-5 July. The EU's assembly of cities and regions will also adopt its opinion on COP24 during the July plenary.
