Cycle E-Sufficiency: Mobility and Public Space
Time: 10:30 – 12:00
Overconsumption of energy and materials has devastating effects on climate and the environment. It is urgent to start consuming less and better, in line with the concept of energy sufficiency, which is still largely unknown and misunderstood at the European level. According to Environmental Change Institute, “Energy sufficiency is a state in which people’s basic needs for energy services are met equitably and ecological limits are respected.”
This online event on energy sufficiency will discover how to apply this concept to the field of transport. Participants will learn from experiences of FEDARENE members from Sweden and AREC IDF (Regional Agency for Energy and Climate, Île-de-France) on energy sobriety and sufficiency and discuss different visions in Europe.
The event is the second online discussion of the Sufficiency event series of FEDARENE and AREC IDF. The event will be held in English.
