Pooling local energy and climate efforts in the Alpine region

The project "Pooling Energy ACtion and Enhancing their implementation in the Alps" (PEACE_Alps) supports municipalities in their efforts torwards the energy transition. The project will cluster activities of existing energy and climate projects in municipalities while also integrating also in the climate change adaptation measures with an approached developed in SEAP Alps.

Climate Alliance will support the mutual learning among project partners with capacity building workshops using innovative facilitation approaches to develop implementable solutions at local level. The aim is to attain common knowledge on conducting bottom-up activities to extend the application of low carbon policy instruments. In addition to Climate Alliance, eleven other organisations from six Alpine countries are involved in the project. PEACE_Alps is promoted by Alpine Space Program INTERREG the "European Regional Development Fund" (ERDF).

Initial project funding period: December 2015 – December 2018
PEACE_Alps is supported by the INTERREG Alpine Space Programme of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The total project budget amounts to €1,938,899; €1,648,064 of that sum is being financed by the ERDF.
