Transport and accomodation

A list of hotels will available shortly, but accommodation in Barcelona is plentiful and we encourage participants to find their own accommodation near in the city centre. The main venue, Hospital de Sant Pau, is serviced by metro lines 5 (blue, stop Sant Pau | Dos de Maig) and 4 (yellow, stop Guinardó | Hospital de Sant Pau).

Participants will receive a complimentary 48 hour public transport pass for zone 1 at the conference registration desk upon collecting conference materials (as of 2 October 2018).

Hospital de Sant Pau

Sant Pau, built between 1901 and 1930, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest Art Nouveau Site.

Created in 1913, the Institut del Teatre in Catalan is dedicated to training in the performing arts.

The impressive Recinte Escola Industrial, once an embroidery factory, now houses the School of Technical Engineering.

A showing of the Belo Monte documentary followed by a discussion with indigenous representatives will be held here on 30 September, prior to the conference.
