2017 EU Sustainable Energy Week

Clean Energy for All Europeans

EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is back for its 12th edition, from 19 to 25 June 2017 in Brussels and with complementary activities across Europe throughout May and June. Thousands of public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers will take part to promote energy efficiency and renewables. It is an ideal platform to showcase your organisation, business or project's contribution to Europe's transition to a clean, secure, efficient energy system.

You can contribute to EUSEW by either hosting a networking activity at the EUSEW Policy Conference, from 20 to 25 June in Brussels, or by organising a local Energy Day for any time in May or June. This year's theme is Clean Energy for All Europeans, inspired by the European Commission's package of proposals to put consumers and growth at the heart of the sustainable energy transition.

Special Climate Alliance Event

Accelerating the clean energy transition — financing energy efficiency at the local level

21 June | 11.00 - 12.30 | Résidence Palace, Maelbeek

Climate Alliance will be holding a special event during the EUSEW on financing energy efficiency locally. The session presents a local actor view on the three pillars of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative recently launched by the European Commission as part of the Clean Energy package. It includes an interactive session in which EU policy makers and representatives of financial institutions may discuss key recommendations with local stakeholders with the goal of strengthening the role of the local level in accelerating the clean energy transition.
