The network of regional stakeholders for 100 % renewable energies by 2030
Region-N is a German network of regional stakeholders that promotes the transformation of our energy system in a renewable, local and citizen-oriented way. The goal is for regions to be 100 % powered by renewables by 2030, to use their energy saving potential and thus strengthen climate protection.
Climate Alliance is implementing this mission within the framework of the Region-N project. The project promotes the establishment of an all-German network of regional stakeholders to accelerate the regional energy and heat transition through the following activities:
- Providing an exchange platform
- Developing joint campaigns
- Exchange of knowledge and experience in expert forums and working groups
- Development of best practices and implementation tools
Region-N is closely linked to the research project Transform-R, which makes an important contribution to the design of a network for regional transformation.
Project funding period: June 2018 – June 2022
