PEACE_Alps

Pooling local energy and climate efforts in the Alpine region

The project "Pooling Energy ACtion and Enhancing their implementation in the Alps" (PEACE_Alps) supports municipalities in their actions towards energy transition. The specific issue of the new project will be the clustering of activities of existing energy and climate projects in municipalities. Here, the also in the previous project SEAP Alps developed approach for integrating climate change adaptation measures will be further deepened.

Climate Alliance will support the mutual learning among Project Partners, by internal capacity building workshops using innovative approaches ("World Cafe", "Carousel", "Iceberg" etc) for the development of solutions and their implementation at local level. The aim is to attain common knowledge on how could conduct bottom-up activities to extend the application of low carbon policy instruments. Besides Climate Alliance eleven other organisations from six Alpine countries are involved in the project. PEACE_Alps is promoted by Alpine Space Program INTERREG the "European Regional Development Fund" (ERDF).

Initial project funding period: February 2016 – October 2019
PEACE_Alps is supported by the INTERREG Alpine Space Programme of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The total project budget amounts to €1,938,899; €1,648,064 of that sum is being financed by the ERDF.
